DORSET'S JURASSIC COAST HIDEAWAY

Middleton Barn is an idyllic rural retreat set amidst the rolling hills of North Dorset, with uninterrupted spectacular views towards the world-famous Jurassic Coast.

Set in the historic 18th-century village of Milton Abbas surrounded by pretty open countryside, woodlands and a fantastic bridleway network, we have some of the county’s best walking and riding on our doorstep.

Middleton Barn is a luxury apartment sleeping six, to complement our cosy B&B. It’s bright and airy with a well-equipped kitchen/diner, a ground floor double bedroom with adjacent wet room, with increased accessibility. There is a huge lounge with wood burner, TV and DVD making this the perfect place to unwind after a day spent exploring. Upstairs on the mezzanine floor, there’s a king-size bedroom and a shower room and a single bedroom with an additional pull out bed available on request.

Outside there is a generous decked area with a BBQ and hot tub. It’s the perfect spot for alfresco dining. A utility area is available in the nearby farm buildings, with a washing machine, tumble dryer and boot/dog washing area.  There is also ample off-road parking.  

It’s the perfect Jurassic Coast hideaway from which to discover Dorset and a tranquil setting to relax after a wonderful day riding, cycling walking or touring. It is also fully adapted for disabled guests.

We offer top-class B&B for your horses with a fully-equipped livery yard, stabling, grazing plus plenty of space for your tack, horsebox and car. We even have a school and an on-site BHSAI instructor.

We’ll show you all the best routes including rides and walks that take you passed the village’s most famous landmarks, including its Abbey, medieval chapel and even a ruined folly hidden in the woods.

And if you’ve always dreamt of galloping through the surf, you can - Studland Beach, a long sandy stretch of coast popular with riders, is within easy reach.
